poor puppy :(

tofu got "fix'd" yesterday. it was a long day! it's a small operation that only takes 15 minutes, according to Di, who used to prep pups for the procedure. but poor puppy was @ Banfield for 9hrs! he must've been terrified, being kennel'd in a strange place, hav'n his arm shaved, bloodwork drawn, medicated, cone-head'd...:(

drop-off time was between 7-8, so i drop'd him off @ 7:45am, silly pup pull'd his way into the clinic & left me w/o say'n bye. he was too excited to care! hahaha. the weather was gloomy. i got a little iffy think'n about the 9hrs...

pick-up time was 5, so i arrived @ 5:02 :) i left work @ 4. it was nice & sunny out. i rush'd home to grab the car & go pickup tofu. when i got to Banfield, i fill'd out the paperwork, got the brief from the nurse, then wait'd & wait'd for the door to open to see tofu's happy face once he saw his mommy, Me! i even had my phone camera ready! silly me! then the nurse pop'd back out say'n he was too drug'd to walk, so i ran out to drive the car over to the clinic door. when i finally saw tofubaby, he was look'n so dozed, lost & wobbly. it was kinda funny! hehe. i carry'd him into the car, and drove home. got home, carry'd him inside, step'd back out to close the car door, and silly thing came right back to the door cos he didn't know why i went out. when i try'd to open the door, he was stuck in the doorway. his cone was on the door & i couldn't open the door. HAHAHHAA. my dad maneuver'd tofu outta the way, i came inside & tofu went straight to our room. poor thing was so dozy. 10 minutes later when my Mom came home, tofu try'd to jet out from my room to the door, i saw him wobble out & stop'd him halfway. he just sat down & gave up. HAHAHA. NOSY! or u can say LOVING! :) he greet'd grandma & stood by her side for a few, & i realized he hadn't peed yet, so i carry'd him to the backyard to pee. he let out a few drops, then continued to look confused, so i took him back home. gave him as much water as he want'd - a few bowls, and some chicken. for the next few hours, he just kept whining under his breath from discomfort & the anesthesia. he wasn't lick'n his wounds so i took the cone off as soon as he came home since it made him clumsy. 5-6 hours later, the anesthesia wore off & i put the cone back on him, to his discontent. so he gave me the "I AM MADDDDD @ YOU!" face. HAHAHA.

so then i had to think of a solution. could only think of using trunks for which i don't own any of. finally, i figure i could use tofu's favorite (& only) t-shirt, but wear them as pants. it work'd but every time i woke up from hear'n his lick'n, the t-shirt was off on the floor, so after like 4 times, i realized i had to wrap it tighter with a hair tie. it works! the Domo shirt keeps tofu from lick'n his parts & also makes him look super cute! doesn't he look super cute? :)

today, tofu's pretty much back to his normal self. he's a little whiny still, but he usually whines whenever i'm home cos he wants to go out for walks or go play. he's snoozing at the moment, just as he does on normal days. DUDE, this pup can sleep! Hahaha. :)

2 more weeks, then puppy can play with his friends again :)

happy 1st anniversary

one year ago today, i finally got the samoyed puppy i wait'd almost 2 decades for. i had seen a picture of a beautiful champion named purity. she was pregnant. purity had 2 girls & 4 boys on 8/14/10. i was 3rd in line for a girl, so a boy it was. the breeder call'd him "grey boy." he was the runt of the litter. i named him "tofu." i still remember the moment tofu was in my arms, stiff as a rock, but fluffy as a cloud. SURREAL! :) we flew home & start'd our lives together, try'n to live each day happily. thank u tofu. happy anniversary! i love u! XOXO! <3 mommy =D

new trouble!!!

two nights ago, i finally let Chewy & tofu play together. the next morning (yesterday), Chewy dug a bigger hole under the fence & tofu slip'd under it into Chewy's yard. this happen'd A LOT sooner than i expect'd. before the play date, they met face-to-face once; all the other times, they would peek @ each other from the fence cracks & run back & forth together along the wooden fence. So...yesterday morning, i had to go ring my neighbor's doorbell & request to retrieve my puppy from their yard. LOL!!! i was run'n late for work (again), but tofu ignored me, hop'n all over the neighbors' cover'd pool which was fill'd with chlorinated pool/snow/rain water, of which he drank a lot of & cover'd his entire belly with. tofu even decided to poop, yes poop!!! on top of their pool cover in the middle of it!!! i felt terribly embarass'd!!!!! finally, my neighbor call'd tofu & he came to her, not me!!! so i walk'd him out of their yard across the front of my house & back into my yard. sigh...he's been try'n all morning today to go play with Chewy & tofu indeed dug another hole after Wil put up some wood to cover the other ones. AIYAH!!!

another thing, when i was walk'n tofu yesterday before he snuck over to Chewy's, his leash came off. the gentle leader ring must've press'd on the (weak) leash buckle & released itself. I FREAK'D!!! i was on one street & he had already turn'd corners (the leash is only 6 ft). so as my heart raced, i turn'd the other way, call'd tofu & act'd as if i was gonna enter someone's house. he came!!! YAY!!!! lucky me!!! lucky us!!! *wipes sweat off forehead, heartbeat back to normal, takes deep breath* THANK YOU tofu for coming back!!!!! =D

he's nibbling (literally! small nibs) on the stuff'd cotton bone, squeal'n in tiny bits & breathing hardly while blink'n a lot. WEIRD!!!! when he does this, his paws usually twinkle too. i have no clue what he's doing, but he only does this when he's calm. maybe his gums are bother'n him?

KK. gotta continue baking, then take tofu somewhere to play, either d's house or peter's park.
